CBA Prince Edward Island is pleased to announce its 2026–27 President and Executive Committee, effective September 1, 2026.
James Profit begins his term as President
This year, CBA Prince Edward Island welcomes James Profit as its new Branch President for the 2026–27 term. He succeeds Sean Seviour, who served with distinction over the past year.
James's practice is focused on real estate law, corporate commercial and estate planning and litigation. He regularly assists businesses and individuals with commercial transactions, financing arrangements, and other corporate, commercial, and real property matters.
James received his Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University in 2016 and his law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2019 and was admitted to the bar in Prince Edward Island in 2020. He serves as National Chair of the CBA's Real Property Section and is a member of the Construction Law Section.
Beyond the profession, James is the vice chair of the World Fisheries Trust, and a board member Special Olympics PEI and Water Polo Canada.

Introducing the 2026-27 Executive Committee
Kate Profit joins the CBA Prince Edward Island Executive Committee as Young Lawyers Chair on September 1, 2026.
She joins returning members who continue on the Executive in 2026–27:
